We booked Oak’s Rest Barn with Teresa’s Beach Homes with a little skepticism. After reading the description of the house, we felt weird staying in a triangle shaped home and wondered if we’d made a mistake, but when we arrived, we were pleasantly surprised! The house was immaculate and even though triangle shaped, you’d never know if from the inside.Everything was pristine and we were so pleased with all the attention the owner had given to detail. Everything was high end, from dishes to flooring! It took us a few minutes to figure out how to work the elevator, but it was great considering our sixty plus year old knees and sure saved us a lot of time and trouble when checking in with all our luggage and leaving too.The location was spectacular! Right across from the Gulf Country Veterans’ Memorial park and it was so close to the water’s edge, we only had to walk about 75 to 100 steps! The pool wasn’t heated when we were there in December, but my daughter jumped in anyway. Apparently, the owner stops heating after Thanksgiving because the constant running of the pump during winter months can cause burn out.The entire time we were there, we felt so blessed. This was the best beach house we’d ever stayed in and we’ve stayed in many!We enjoyed beautiful sunrises and sunsets every single day while there from the convenience of one of the private decks or while walking along the water’s edge. The home is conveniently located between Mexico Beach and Port St. Joe. We were able to visit our favorite spots within minutes. We love using Teresa’s Beach Homes because of the simple check in and out procedures. If you’re looking for a beautiful, luxury beach home, check out Oak’s Rest Barn. Yes, it has a funny name and a funny shape, but there’s nothing funny about it. It’s simply top notch and we’d book there again in a heartbeat.
